Over a month prior to Raymond Felton’s wife Ariane Raymondo-Felton, filing for divorce, and then her getting him arrested for gun possession charges six days later, Fabolous happened to rap about Felton’s alleged infidelity on his “Cuffin’ Season” song off of his mixtape, The Soul Tape 3.  On the particular track, Fab spit:

“Four Celtics, Knicks guard, you know Felton/ This nigga in Atlanta AirTran her, no Delta/ Been naughty all year trying to end it nicely/ Summer hoes turning into winter wifeys.”

The lyrics paint a picture of four Boston Celtics players and NY Knicks point Guard having become intimate with the same woman, however it wasn’t indicated if this intimacy occurred at the same time, and it’s most likely not Raymond’s wife that he’s referencing.

It’s often the case with Hip-Hop lyrics that rappers will name drops various celebrity figures for no particular reason other than to make a cool rhyme or connect with a strong punchline.  However, given the irony of Raymond’s wife claiming he was constantly cheating on her, it’s hard to determine whether or not there was any truth behind Fab’s Felton rap.

What do you think of Fab dropping Felton’s name in his “Cuffin’ Season” song over a month prior to Raymond’s wife filing for divorce and using infidelity as a reason for it?
