When your favorite television show takes a summer hiatus, leave it to Netflix to have original content that is funny, witty and enjoyable to watch.

Insert, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Written and produced by Tina Fey the comedy follows the story of Kimmy Schmidt’s (played by Ellie Kemper) life after being abducted with three other women and forced into a cult. After being rescued, Kimmy decides to start a new life in New York City instead of settling in Indiana.

Her first day in the city lends her to housing, a roommate named Titus Andromedon (play by Tituss Burgess), and a job as a nanny for Mrs. Jacqueline Vorhees (played by Jane Krakowski).

Aside from tons of laughs, the show really highlighted some important lessons and takeaways— here are five of them.
