Maria Menounos definitely stole the spotlight at the ELLE Women In Music Celebration, and it was for more than her Asian-inspired Balmain mini.

The TV host, who has been killing it lately on the red carpet, stepped her look up a notch with a braided hairstyle that we could not take our eyes up. A half-ponytail, hair cornrow style, Menounos brought some edge to her bright mini.

If you needed some hair inspiration for the summer, this is definitely it.

We spoke exclusively with her hairstylist Dimitri Giannetos, and he gave us the how-to when it comes to her braided look.

“I was inspired from the Balmain campaign with Olivier Rousteing because the dress that was Balmain also,” Giannetos said

Here is how Giannetos put together the Maria Menounos braid and ponytail combination hairstyle in three easy steps:

1) Blow dry the hair using a few drops of Elvive Extraordinary Oil by L’Oreal Paris
2) Spray the hair with hair spray and then create 3 asymmetrical braids at the right part of the head. Start braiding (in French braid style) from the the front of the head to the ear line and then braid (regular three-strand braid) the rest of the hair to the end. Secure the braids w small clear elastic bands.
3) Pull the rest of the hair back into a tight low ponytail! Then with L’Oreal Ellnet Satin Hairspray to avoid fly-aways.
