Finally, the Facebook gods have answered our prayers when it comes to ex-relationships on social media.
More specifically, when it comes to Facebook’s “On This Day” function. While everyone loves a good #TBT, no one wants to see a photo of their ex, or a status gushing about your former flame. Well, with just a few clicks, you can solve that problem.
The new feature from Facebook recognizes people are not likely to share a memory of someone that they dumped (or dumped them).

To keep your memories from including photos or even a mention of your ex, just go to Facebook.com/onthisday, click ‘Preferences” and in the top right corner you click edit. From there you can add any specific person or dates you don’t want popping up on your Facebook.
It’s that simple. So now, when you open your Facebook on your phone while trying to get out of bed in the morning, you don’t have to worry about seeing a smiling photo of your ex to ruin your mood for the day.
