Is Sarah Jessica Parker Filming Scenes for Sex and the City 3? The Truth Behind the Photos
Rumors of a Sex and the City 3 film have been ongoing. So when Sarah Jessica Parker posted a cryptic photo of herself looking Carrie-esque while shopping and teased a yet-to-be named project in the caption, everyone cried out, “Sequel!” (You know you’re dying to see Mr. Big and Carrie with a baby and a new round of Samantha’s sexcapades.) But is a movie actually happening? Unclear.
“The Instagram post is not in relation to the Sex and the City property,” Warner Bros. tells PEOPLE in a statement regarding the photo that had fans celebrating with Cosmos Monday.
Parker’s post, however, did refer to an undisclosed project she’s working on.
“Well. I guess the cat’s out of the (little brown) bag,” SJP captioned the below photo, adding, “As usual, we will keep you posted on every detail as we are able. I’m under strict gag order until then. Xx, Sj”
Other photos showed Parker on set of the shoot, which looks to be related to her eponymous shoe line. The SJP collection started as an exclusive partnership with Nordstrom, then launched over at Zappos Couture. Could Bloomingdale’s (that brown bag!) be next? That makes the most sense and is most likely what Parker was referring to in the photo. Plus, other snaps from the set showed her surrounded by a number of colorful pumps.
