Brian “Jay Arre” Perrett was raised in Kernersville, North Carolina where Jay Arre found his voice. He began attempts to express himself through poetry, music, acting and modeling at a young age but decided to dedicate his early adulthood to the arts and his love for music. Growing up as a fan of music and its ability to impact lives, Jay Arre has no walls when it comes to what inspires him. His influences range widely between artists but mainly through life itself. Having released a pair of mixtapes “The Junior” & “Cake UP” (found on DatPiff.com) & opening for Nappy Roots, among others, has really expedited his passion for his craft.
The southern MC’s hip hop, mixed with soulful rhythms, has shaped his life to date. Now at the age of 24, w/ his newest “Layers” mixtape due to release June 2013, Jay Arre is working day and night to reach the world through his music.
