Julianne Hough: My Fiancé Loves Me Best Without Makeup
There is a lot left to plan before Julianne Hough walks down the aisle to wed fiancé Brooks Laich, but she does have one aspect of her big day worked out: her hair and makeup look.
“My main thing is that I want to look like me,” the Dancing with the Stars judge says in the current issue of PEOPLE. “I’ve heard people say, ‘Don’t do something drastic [because] you’ll look back and think, ‘Why did I do that?’ I don’t know if my hair will be up or down, but I’ll keep it as natural as possible—with a little flair!”
And that plan already has the seal of approval from her hockey player husband-to-be.

“He loves when I don’t wear makeup,” says Hough, 27. “I feel really lucky because he is one of those guys who thinks less is more. I never wear makeup when it’s just us.”
In fact, the Proactiv+ spokeswoman says nothing makes her feel more gorgeous than date night with Laich.
“I feel my most beautiful any time I’m on a date with my fiancé or am spending time with the people I love,” she says. “Nothing is better than when Brooks says I look beautiful.”
