Justin Bieber may be going through some troubles that the public is blind to, for he made the wild claim during an interview with Big Boy’s Power 106 radio station that he is going to retire from music.  This news is sure to break the hearts of many loyal fans who’ve supported him throughout the years, from childhood all the way until his more rocky young adult years.

When asked for an update on his new album, Bieber responded with the shocking claim:

“New album… uh… I’m actually retiring, man.  I’m retiring, yea.  I’m just gonna take some time.  I think I’m probably gonna quit music.”

Even though Justin claimed that he’ll be taking a step back from the industry that made him who he is today, an unidentified source apparently spoke to E! News and stated, “Of course it’s not true.”

In the past we’ve heard Jay Z claim that he was retiring, but he always came back with some new fire and grew as an artist.  With all of the negative press that’s followed Bieber since he turned 18, maybe he just wants to take a breather and enjoy some privacy in order to refocus his career for when he is ready to return to the spotlight.  Power 106 released a tweet that hinted that this just might be the case, and that his “retirement” will only be a temporary step away from the music industry.

Check out Justin Bieber’s shocking claim above, along with Power 106’s tweet hinting that it might only be temporary.
