Kanye: “I’m Humbly Top 5 of All Time: Dead or Alive!” (@kanyewest @kimkardashian)

Kanye West put on another epic rant before his Albany, NY crowd at his latest Yeezus Tour stop, where he proclaimed himself a “Rap God” and also “top 5 of all time: dead or alive.”  Kanye screamed into the microphone “I am humbly top 5 of all time: dead or alive! …Humbly.”  

He continued to speak on the criticism he’s gotten for calling himself a “genius” and defended his stance by shedding praise on himself and fellow influential members of the Hip-Hop community.  Kanye explained that what rappers do is no different from the poets and other individuals who are honored with the title of “genius” but because they portray a certain type of image, society chooses to shun them from their due respect.

“When I say genius, why is that offensive? Like I hurt somebody… Rap is all geniuses. When you go to school don’t they talk about poets, like they geniuses? What y’all witnessing; Wayne, Eminem, Drake, Jay Z, right now in front of you, doing genius work. But because we’ve got gold chains and we’ve got gold teeth they don’t wanna think we’re geniuses.”
