Live Johnson the self-proclaimed Living Legend is back and better than ever. The EDC General took a hiatus after the success of the Living Legend Album to reflect and handle personal matters, but he is back and better than ever. The Queens Native released a freestyle, a warning shot to the naysayers and those that doubt him that the legend is back. The track produced by Johnson himself, the visuals were done by Katie Kay Photography and Jemyle.

More about Live

Live Johnson, born Shawn Johnson hails from Queens, NY where early on his influence on music dwelled upon him as an outlet to stay away from the allure of the streets. Some of his interests in music included writing poetry, songs, rhymes and producing beats as a way for Live to express himself. His earlier influences in music were from his father, who had played the Viola and was an avid collector of vinyl music such as the 70’s soul and the 80’s disco. Other genres that influenced Live were Hip-Hop, R&B, Neo Soul, Rock & Gospel but his favorite artist that held a very huge impression on him was Nas.

Live feels that “Without music, my life would be empty” because of the many regrets from his past along with the heavy burdens of life. Also, he adds that “I bring realness and authenticity to the game, something that is missing in today’s hip-hop music.” “People forget to be vulnerable and they wind up being something they’re not.” “I rather would be an outcast than to fit in foolishness.”
