Macy’s is on a mission to make consumers swipe their credit cards more. In an effort to streamline the online shopping experience, the chain department store announced that it will now be providing same-day delivery service for shoppers seeking a quick fix.
After testing on-demand deliveries in eight cities during the past year, the company broadcast its new venture, expanding the fast shipping service to 17 US cities – including locations like New York City, Atlanta and even Honolulu. Plus, thanks to its partnership with startup company Deliv, there will be Uber-like drivers ready to bring you that Rag & Bone sweater you’ve been craving.
If you ask us, the new endeavor puts Macy’s in a new playing field when it comes to online shopping. The company’s 900 stores across the US will allow the retailer to ship from shorter distances – making shoppers feel more comfortable about receiving their items that day.
Along with same-day delivery services, the retailer will also provide consumers the option to return items and have them picked up by a Deliv driver. And if you’re wondering how much of a service like this will cost you, there’s no need to worry. A $5 supplement will be charged for you to receive your items at such a fast rate – which is a pretty reasonable price, if you ask us.
