The San Jose Mercury News is reporting that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg paid “more than $30 million in total” for four homes directly next to his Palo Alto, Calif., abode. It’s not known what Zuck’s plans are for the properties, but it may have been a defensive measure. He allegedly hear of “a developer’s plan to buy one of the properties nex door” and market it for its proximity to Zuckerman.
It’s highly unlikely that Zuckerman will bulldoze the homes, and will instead just play landlord to the existing tenants.
