10 YARD BULLET

  1. National Anthem: Francis Scott Key, the writer of the anthem, penned racist verses within the anthem itself. He was a slave owner that said blacks were inferior and died a supporter of slavery fighting against abolitionists.
  2. Discrimination in Hiring: Teams have taken a chance on 21 first time white head coaches and only 1 first time minority head coach, the gap was an identical 21-1 nearly two decades ago.
  3. Guaranteed Contracts: There are no guaranteed contracts for NFL players even though the sport is the most dangerous of the 4 major spectator sports in America.
  4. Brain Damage: A $1 billion settlement was reached by the NFL and retired players. The NFL lied and hid information about concussions. Many NFL players have committed suicide due to related injuries.
  5. Domestic Violence: The NFL holds arbitrary policies on domestic violence against women and the enforcement of those policies.
  6. Physical Assault: 44 current players accused of rape or physical assault remain on NFL rosters.
  7. Bankruptcy: 80% of NFL players are either bankrupt or go broke within three years of retirement, regardless of how much money they make in their career.
  8. Help Future Athletes: Tommie Smith, John Carlos, Craig Hodges, Jackie Robinson, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf and Muhammed Ali have been victims for making silent protest or speaking out for social injustices.
  9. Support: Colin Kaepernick and other players like him in their protest for freedom, justice, and equality.

Take A Stand: The NFL should realize the value of its African American Viewers and players by caring about these social justice issues. #BOYCOTTTHENFL
