Pacer’s Roy Hibbert Fined $75K for Gay Slur & Cursing Post-Game (@Hoya2aPacer)

Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert made a big mistake after his team’s Game 6 91-77 victory over the Miami Heat.  During the post game press conference, Hibbert used the gay slur “no homo” while describing how the Miami Heat made him play during the game.  Hibbert claimed that the Heat “stretched (him) out so much” and he then went on to actually refer to various media personnel as “motherf*ckers”.  He made the remark in reference to being awarded as the Defensive Player of the Year

“You know what, because y’all motherf*ckers don’t watch us play throughout the year, to tell you the truth.  I don’t care if I get fined because we play on TV, all the time. Reporters are the ones voting and if I don’t make it that’s fine. I’m still gonna do what I have to do.”

Roy later addressed his verbal slip-up and issued an apology in a press release for the team on Sunday, June 2nd.

“I am apologizing for insensitive remarks made during the post-game press conference after our victory over Miami Saturday night. They were disrespectful and offensive and not a reflection of my personal views. I used a slang term that is not appropriate in any setting, private or public, and the language I used definitely has no place in a public forum, especially over live television. I apologize to those who I have offended, to our fans and to the Pacers’ organization. I sincerely have deep regret over my choice of words last night.”

While Commissioner David Stern was pleased with Roy’s honest apology, he still fined him $75,000.

Mobby Rosas – “Up To Sum” f/ Westside Boogie (Video) + “The 4th Step” (Album)

The track “up to sum” is one of my favorite stories of how a collaboration came about. WESTSIDE BOOGIE had posted an open verse challenge for his song “Mood” on instagram and I picked it up. I’ve done a few open verse challenges before, to no favorable outcome other than just posting more content. I didn’t think much would come of this verse entry. I recorded my video audition for the song while at work, I was a server at a hotel restaurant in downtown LA, in uniform and all. I posted it and tagged WS Boogie and to my surprise, he DM’d me saying that he thought my verse was hard and if I ever wanted him on a project, he was down. I remember reading the message at work and being in shock. I had wanted to work with WS Boogie for years and had even tried to reach out in the past, to no response. I immediately hopped on the opportunity to.
