Peace Galaxy Paves a Lane of Her Own

Los Angeles-based Peace Galaxy is a producer whose style spans as broadly as her name suggests.

Her project Sample Life, Vol. 1 is a collection of instrumentals that draw from several genres, styles and songs including Kanye’s track “Touch The Sky” and the futuristic funkyness of the Neptunes. Galaxy explained that music isn’t the only thing that she draws inspiration from.

“I can get inspiration from anywhere. It can be from heartbreak or it could be from the feeling of love. I also get inspiration from the producers I admire and respect or something that randomly occurs,” she said.

Galaxy describes her sound as: “the female version of Pharrell mixed with my unique, spaced out futuristic dopeness.” This specific influence is evident on tracks like “Goodbye Never,” “Only U Knew,” and “Testify.”

The multi-talented act has her sights set on winning several Grammys, becoming a multi-platinum selling producer and signing artists to her label GLXY7 Ent. She seems to be well on her way to this goal despite dropping only one project to date.

Galaxy has been spotted with mogul/record label exec LA Reid, John Legend, and Michael Hampton, the guitarist for the legendary funk band Parliament-Funkadelic.

Looking toward the future, Peace Galaxy looks to improve on her skills and continue to work towards her goals.
