We are currently at a point in history where the world is feeling a major point of panic and fear with the outbreak of the Corona Virus pandemic. Many people have lost their loved ones and the population is playing a game of Russian Roulette where the disease can either get you sick for a few days or it may take away a life. With such hysteria there is still a common bond that ties us together and brings us back to our peaceful point, that bond is music.

While big brother believes we should not be promoting our creativity while we practice social distancing, one artist put out a powerful body of work. Devil May Cry from Scrilla Gambino is a representation of his thoughts, feelings, and the demons he has worked so hard to fight for a better life for himself.  Produced by Syer on the beat, Chuck Platinum,  On Key Music and Boom Beatz you feel the pain in each track within the 7 song compilation.

My Life tells his story , how he wants people to understand his story when the world want him to walk them through it. The story about him doing time, how he at 30 years old had more cards dealt to him and where the sun doesn’t shine where he feels like he is from. Listening to the boom bap feel mixed with a jazz undertone has you perplexed and immersed in his story.  The only collaboration on the project Situation featuring English McFly gives you the aggression and the passion that the Harlem MC has as he looks to battle his demons and dominate everything he does. The flair of the violin gives the more dramatic feel and the dynamic punch blending perfectly with the bars making it easy for the listener to grasp the message and feel the same pain and aggression.
