It’s true, Charlotte, NC is slowly becoming one of the up and coming spots for producers of Trap Music. With rap-artists like Petey Pablo and J.Cole all hailing from the big N.C., it is expected that the great state produce it’s own “King of Trap”, right? How about it’s own Trap Society?
Meet Pite & Pedro, two-members of Charlotte’s elite “TRAP SOCIETY”. Both artists have solo projects but decided to bless the fans by joining forces on the OG mixtape “Conversations.
trappic2 TRAP SOCIETY’S “PITE”
“Pite“, a Charlotte native, is the first voice you hear on “Too Late”, the mixtape’s featured track. As you hear his deep voice say “oh looord” backed by the intensity of the track, you get the sense that something is coming.
Pite, known as the master of all things harmonizing and hooks, also adds to his resume, the capacity to vocally “light-a-track-up” and come thru as a masterful writer. You can follow Pite on IG: @iampython.
Pedro, also known by “Pete” , is the “cool and savvy one”, both on and off the mic. Always equipped with his choice of fashion forward eye-wear and “wrist-ice”,
PETE TRAP SOCIETY’S “PEDRO”
Pedro literally and lyrically-sauces up every room and track he gets on. Pedro is originally from New Jersey, but grew up in Charlotte. He thanks New Jersey for the conscious state of mind, and Charlotte for the flow. Either way, he makes certain that he reps both cities well and to the fullest.

The track “up to sum” is one of my favorite stories of how a collaboration came about. WESTSIDE BOOGIE had posted an open verse challenge for his song “Mood” on instagram and I picked it up. I’ve done a few open verse challenges before, to no favorable outcome other than just posting more content. I didn’t think much would come of this verse entry. I recorded my video audition for the song while at work, I was a server at a hotel restaurant in downtown LA, in uniform and all. I posted it and tagged WS Boogie and to my surprise, he DM’d me saying that he thought my verse was hard and if I ever wanted him on a project, he was down. I remember reading the message at work and being in shock. I had wanted to work with WS Boogie for years and had even tried to reach out in the past, to no response. I immediately hopped on the opportunity to.
