By this point, crop tops and mini skirts are practically a part of Taylor Swift‘s squad. If you’ve seen any photos of her in the past year, you know the “Bad Blood” singer rarely leaves home without them. Now she’s sharing the reason why.

“It’s hard to say when I decided they’re what I want to wear all the time, but I’ll make up my mind, and that’s all you’ll see me wear for two years,” Swift says in the latest issue of PEOPLE. [Editor’s note: After some serious style stalking, it appears her obsession began last summer.]

No big surprise there. The 25-year-old loves a trademark look. Remember her retro phase? “You might recall from 2012 to 2014, you didn’t see me in any outfit that didn’t look like I was straight out of the ’50s,” she says. “Who knows what it’ll be next.”

So, what else is the Keds spokesmodel loving right now?

Of course, there’s her signature red lipstick. (She once told PEOPLE she wears it because her face “looks worse without it.”) But she’s traded in her old favorite for a “new” shade — M.A.C’s Ruby Woo. “It’s a staple. I was the last person to discover it,” she admits.

She’s also into her new arm candy — a $5,150 Christian Louboutin x Louis Vuitton bag she was spotted carrying while wearing a harness. “I never say fierce because I think it should be used lightly and when it’s appropriate, but this is a fierce bag,” says Swift. “It looks like a weapon. It’s got spikes on it!”

What do you think Swift’s next style phase will be? Think the harness will become a mainstay in her wardrobe? Share your thoughts in the comments, below.
