Who could forget Kyemah McEntyre? Last month, social media lost its collective mind over the above prom gown, designed by the 18 year old herself.

“Beautiful things happen when you take pride in yourself… This is for those always being labeled as, ‘ugly’ or ‘angry.’ Thank God, stereotypes are just opinions,” she wrote under the viral shot.

Turns out that Afro-centric creation went from your timeline to the red carpet in record time. Last night (June 28), Power actress Naturi Naughton hit the BET Awards looking like a queen, thanks to McEntyre, who designed her vibrant tangerine gown.

The mermaid style silhouette also included red, yellow and green patterns and a plunging neckline. Completed with minimal accessories and a braided up do, we’d say this was the best dressed moment of the night.

The 3LW singer–who is from the same NJ town as Kyemah–reached out shortly after her “break the Internet” moment to collaborate on a similar look and voila!; fabulosity ensued.

“Naturi, you continue to inspire people like me, especially in your hometown,” shared the aspiring designer on Instagram.

“Thanks for helping me build my foundation and giving back to the community. Naturi Naughton YOU ARE THE BEST! Thank you again for giving me the chance to continue to break the internet!”

Take note, fashionistas because your next OOTD could lead to an amazing opportunity!
