The Global-Themed Valentino Pre Fall 16′ Collection

The Valentino Pre Fall 2016 collection was not necessarily a “pre-collection” as much as it was a fully-rounded-covet-it-all-range!
The presentation included 84 transeasonal looks, which displayed Japanese thematics with a splash of Americana. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli manifested a variety of jumpsuits, gowns, coats, skirts and separates with Asian embroidery in USA colors; think July 4th but with dragons.
The models were adorned with Bantu knots, a traditional African hairstyle with a basic base of makeup. The signature “rock stud” was prevalent on a selection of accessories, all in tonal shades of teal, pink, red, black and Japanese printed leathers. Not only did the Pre Fall 16’ collection have a mesh of cultural themes, it was also a blueprint for a well-rounded wardrobe. Fabrics such as suede, fur, chiffon, silk and wool, were constructed into wearable, and envy-invoking clothing.
Hats off to the duo for delivering the world, literally.
