Who doesn’t love a good love story? Especially when it involves turning passion into a career.

This week we were introduced to Ruth and Thomas Méaulle of ORLOV Paris, a French fragrance line that incorporates diamonds and sweet smells. The pair met wearing the same fragrance crafted by the famous perfumer Dominique Ropion, fell in love and decided to start the line of fragrances for men and women.

As background, Ruth worked in the world of precious stones, so the marriage between the two luxury items seemed like a perfect fit. What made the endeavor even more serendipitous was when they got the opportunity to work with Ropion to development their brand. “Thomas was my main tester for every fragrance I created,” Ruth told StyleBlazer. “I would spray each one on him in the morning before he would go to work and see how well it lasted throughout the day when he got home.”

Three years later, the couple is proud to introduce the line at Bergdorf Goodman.

“I’m excited to bring my passion for diamonds and fragrance together. Thomas and I love New York City and are thrilled about launching ORLOV Paris at Bergdorf Goodman.”

Now don’t be mistaken, these are luxury fragrances ranging in price from $330 for the bottle alone to $1,890 for the bottle encased in a hand-stitched box with a diamond at the base. But if you’re looking a beautiful and unique gift for someone extra special, this is it. White bottle indicate more feminine smells, while black ones are more for men– although the attest that all seven scents are unisex.

I personally love Star of the Season (above) that has a sweet, yet musky balance.
