Watch the Red Band Trailer for ‘Get Hard,’ the Mainstream Buddy Comedy that Sounds Like an Adult Film

I thought long and hard about the headline for this post. I really wanted to go with “Watch Kevin Hart Make Will Ferrell Hard in the New Get Hard Red Band Trailer.” But then I thought, maybe that’s a little too much. So instead I went with a headline that points out the obvious: that Get Hard sounds like the title of an adult film.

Of course, it’s not the title of an adult film. It’s the title of a new black guy-white guy buddy comedy starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart and directed by longtime comedy writer Etan Cohen. Ferrell plays a rich corporate douche who gets sentenced to maximum security prison for running a ponzi scheme or some other rich white guy crime. Hart plays a nice young black guy who teaches Ferrell to survive in prison even though he’s never been there. Obviously, all manner of racial stereotype-based hijinks ensue.

The green band (PG) trailer for Get Hard came out a while ago, and I was like, meh. But the red band trailer? It’s much better, pretty much entirely because of Kevin Hart’s bit about dickade, which is like lemonade but with penises.

Get Hard hits theaters March 27, 2015.
