An old slow jam casts a darker shadow after midnight. Offset and Don Toliver revisit Jodeci’s 1995 Freek’n You on Every Night. Producer Jaasu pairs the sample with distorted synths and rumbling drums, where that rougher setting carries the original’s desire into a grungier atmosphere. Don Toliver joins the track with his own rendition of the Jodeci chorus. Offset keeps the vibes straightforward by putting the sleepless fixation into words:
Thinkin’ ‘bout you all day and all night, got no sleep / I could spice your life up.
The specific focus is desire, connecting the new record’s subject to the language of Jodeci. The announcement introduces the next date on Offset’s calendar: GMFU, due October 23 on Motown Records. It follows the KIARI:OFFSET Deluxe chapter, giving readers another point in his continuing solo catalog. Be on the lookout for the official video coming soon.
