If you haven’t heard “young kingdom” yet, You are missing out an amazing vibe.

Since the beginning of time humans have loved music. The song of birds, the hum of the winds, the beat of a drum, the rise and fall of opera singers, the poetic rhymes of rappers. The energy certain sounds and words give when out together in a rhythmic pattern can make you laugh, cry, smile, remember, and more. To be able to affect even one person in that manner is what is at the core of every musician. Now, I bet you’re reading this thinking, “What does this have to with this relatively unknown rapper from Maryland”? Well, once you give his latest project “Young Kingdom” a listen you will understand.

YoungKing is a 20-year-old R&B artist from Waldorf, Maryland. When you first see him you don’t expect the smooth velvety singing voice to come from him. Off first listen you would compare him to someone like The Weeknd, James fauntleroy, or giveon and you wouldn’t be wrong but he is so much more.
The way he understands his voice and how to use it over a diverse lineup of beats is something that puts him light-years ahead of a lot of upcoming artists. His latest project “Young Kingdom” is a pop/R&B banger from start to finish. Tracks like “Bubble Gum” would dominate the radio airwaves with its’ infectious chorus and surprisingly deep lyrics; while songs like “reminiscing” ft The Roni is a pure R&B album hit that wouldn’t be out of place on a classic usher album.

The Star of the project though is its Lead Single “Red Hearts”. This song is so Damn GOOD! I genuinely love this song. The hook is an instant quotable, “Red hearts next to her name/ now she thinks she’s claimed”, so simple but when he delivers this line it hits so much harder because of his guttural yet soothing voice. He sings with such a confident easiness like he knows everything had says is dope. He isn’t wrong. This young artist from Waldorf might have just dropped one of the dopest projects this year and I mean in the entire game. So do yourself a major favor and go download “Young Kingdom” now everywhere music can be downloaded and streamed and make sure you follow him on all social media. This YoungKing is coming for the throne!
