Feng Breaks Into His Own Orbit With “Weekend Rockstar”

Neon leaks through the blinds as the bass hums before the sun even sets. Weekend Rockstar feels like a Polaroid developing in real time. At just 19, Feng distills the rush of weekends into 13 tracks that sway between hazy indulgence and self-aware ambition. The album glides on mellow cadences and elastic production, channeling women, waves, late nights, and loose freedom. Yet beneath the surface of blurry edges, bright center, and a reckless youth frozen mid-laugh, there’s a young artist shaping discipline into identity.

Entirely written, recorded, and mixed by Feng himself, with co-production largely alongside Bilal Hamdi, the project signals creative control beyond his years. Firework, the album’s glowing core, moves like reassurance over a racing four-on-the-floor pulse, doubling as a pep talk and a promise. Even when the lyrics chase good times, the craftsmanship suggests someone studying the long game. “Weekend Rockstar” may flirt with chaos, but it never loses direction as momentum continues to build. Fresh off praise from outlets like The FADER, Complex, and Pigeons & Planes, and heading toward his U.S. festival debut at Rolling Loud in Orlando, Feng’s rises is optimistic, restless, and upward. Watch a young visionary begin to define his era, from Croydon to California by following him on YOUTUBE, X, INSTAGRAM, and TIKTOK.
