“4 A.M. Feelings” is an acoustic pop song about the feeling of loneliness. Furthermore, passages like: “Tomorrow will I still feel this way? or will all this affection go astray” demonstrate an inner conflict: Will I still want to have you next to me tomorrow or do I want you only for tonight? To sum it up, the underlying commentary in this song is that loneliness can make you desperate causing you to associate yourself with others who aren’t good for you.
