Anne Hathaway has always been adventurous with her hat style. (If you need proof, see here, here and here.) But her latest choice of headwear is definitely her most inventive yet.

Hathaway, 32, posted a selfie on Instagram wearing a very luxe Givenchy satchel as a hat.
Even better than the photo? Her caption: “Dear @givenchyofficial, Your stunning reinterpretation of “the hat” is both revolutionary and awe inspiring. And so roomy! I shall wear mine with pride. Yours in trend-settingness, Annie.” (Note: The bag looks to be the classic Givenchy “Nightingale” style, which makes for a very expensive hat.)

The actress isn’t only getting candid on social media. She gave a very intimate interview in the September issue of InStyle where she opened up about harsh criticism she’s faced during her career.
“For a very long time I felt I was being hunted, and it made me very unhappy,” she shared. “But in the past few years I’ve been working on changing the script inside my head. Life’s too short to be anyone but yourself. Let the chips fall where they may.”
She added that a new found confidence has helped her ignore negative public perception. “There was a stretch of my life when I wasn’t comfortable being myself. I didn’t think I was good enough. So I pretended to be someone I wasn’t. To be a person in the spotlight, I pretended to be someone who could be in the spotlight. I’m so over that now. I just try to be my best self all the time, with some notable late-night lapses.”
