Style chameleon Nicki Minaj tried on not one but two new hairdos for Milan Fashion Week on Friday – including a blonde hairstyle that looked like it was ripped from the pages of a Mattel catalog.
The 32-year-old rapper attended a private Givenchy dinner party with the fashion house’s artistic director Riccardo Tisci, then entertained guests with a special performance.

While her Givenchy fishnet, custom cat suit and boots left little to the imagination, it was really the Barbie-inspired bangs that stole the show.
In a photo posted to Instagram, the rapper beamed beneath her new honey blonde locks. Wearing only an oversized black t-shirt from the brand and over-the-knee leather boots, Minaj looked tickled pink by her evening.
“By nature, I am optimistic,” she wrote, explaining the megawatt smile. “Queen Naomi Campbell picked out this Givenchy T-Shirt for me.”
Minaj’s new ‘do was the work of celebrity hair stylist Kim Kimble. Before taking the stage, however, the star had a mane of an entirely different color.
The “Super Bass” rapper picked a short and angular pink wig for the dinner portion of Friday’s haute couture event. The futuristic cotton candy-colored bob was created by hairstylist Oscar James. Minaj let the hair speak for itself, and kept her ensemble subdued: frilly white dress and leather black boots.
“Riccardo, I can’t thank u enough for your hospitality,” Minaj wrote on the photo sharing site, thanking her host. “God bless Italy.”
