While Harry is usually clean-shaven, he often sports a little facial hair — unlike his big brother, Prince William, who always keeps his royal whiskers in check.

But the red-headed prince isn’t the only royal famous for his facial hair. Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip turns heads with his swoon-worthy scruff.

Harry also joins a long list of celebrities who go back and forth between a polished, well-groomed style and the lumberjack look. (Think Ben Affleck, Justin Timberlake, Brad Pitt and Robert Pattinson.)

And while the great beard debate continues, there’s no doubt that there’s one special lady in Prince Harry’s life whose opinion matters most: His grandmother the Queen!

Rumor has it that Queen Elizabeth is not a fan of the scruffy look her grandson sometimes wears, and she’s reportedly asked him to ditch his beard in the past.
