Tabloid Claimed Singer Planned To Remarry Whitney Houston

Troubled R&B star Bobby Brown is allegedly suing the National Enquirer for $1 million. The tabloid reported that Brown was planning to re-marry his late wife Whitney Houston prior to her tragic death in early 2012.

Brown filed suit in Manhattan Federal Court Monday. The story was published a year ago, on March 26, 2012 just weeks after the legendary pop star Houston was found dead in a Beverly Hills bathtub.

Brown married Alicia Etheridge last June.

According to reports, Derrick Handspike, described as “a Georgia veteran of the music industry,” was the source of the story. He is also named as a defendant.
