Cam’ron had a plan for his cape all along.
According to MTV, the rapper debuted his new cape line with designer Mark McNairy today during NYFW. After meeting McNairy through a mutual friend, the two worked together the cape that has everyone buzzing. At the show, Cam donned a grey cape from the line repping his pals with a Dipset logo on the back.
His girlfriend Juju walked down the catwalk with him, and even did a cute little handshake for the crowd. Backstage, Cam talked to Complex about the line, including that it was an plan in the making.
“I was wearing capes in the street even before this came about. This is why this is part of this fashion week because they seen me on Instagram rocking the cape,” Cam said. “It was opening day February 2, after the Super Bowl. That’s when the streets got it. I don’t know when we’re going to put them on sale yet, but it’s been opening day for me for about 10 days.”
