Carrie Underwood’s Bringing Her Activewear Line to New York Fashion Week (and You Can Shop It Immediately!)

Carrie Underwood is taking the whole “Runway to Reality” thing literally. The singer will be debuting the latest collection of her Calia by Carrie activewear line at New York Fashion Week, and you won’t have to wait months to buy the clothes!

“I’ve been a spectator at Fashion Week a few times, but this is the first time I’ll be involved,” Underwood tells WWD, adding that her show will be different from the ones she’s attended in the past thanks to the shoppable element. “I sit in the audience and say, ‘Oh, I love that,’ but then realize, ‘Oh, I have to wait.’ But with this, people can see what we’re working on right now and buy it immediately. I love that and I hope they will, too.”

Underwood will also be addressing the invited guests with a surprise announcement at the “activation” (a hands-on presentation) on Sept. 10 at The HQ in N.Y.C.

The 32-year-old singer and fashion designer is very involved in her fashion line, which features a range of pieces at an accessible price point ($60 to $85 for pants and $30 to $35 for pants). “We meet all the time, look at swatches, colors, styles. I raid my closet, look at pictures of my friends, anything for ideas.”

And as a new mom, Calia has helped Underwood maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.

“Having a baby definitely changes your routine, and I have to work around his schedule,” Underwood told PEOPLE from the set of Calia’s fall campaign earlier this year. “Whenever he goes to sleep, I do the things I need to do for myself and make workouts happen when they can.”
