Chris Brown’s D.C. Assault Charge Is No Longer a Felony (@chrisbrown)

Chris Brown caught a break today, when his felony assault charge for fighting a man in Washington D.C. was dropped to a misdemeanor. Breezy was released from jail on Monday, after he maintained his innocence by pleading not guilty to the charge.

According to TMZ, the charges were reduced because the victim didn’t have any major injuries, and because accounts of the incident were blurry at best. Evidently, there were several conflicting accounts of the event.

Considering Brown is still on probation for the infamous altercation with Rihanna, he’s fairly lucky that the charges were reduced.
