Earlier this year, Common revealed he’d be acting alongside Azealia Banks in the forthcoming, RZA-directed musical Coco. Now, he’s lining up another big role. According to the Hollywood Reporter, he’ll star opposite Keanu Reaves as the lead villain – “a head of security for a female crime lord” – in John Wick 2, the followup to Lionsgate’s 2014 action movie. Filming begins this week.
Chad Stahelski is directing the movie.
