Crystal Castles Announce First Shows Without Alice Glass

Crystal Castles are currently working on a new LP, Ethan Kath’s first without former singer Alice Glass, who contentiously left the group last year. It was previously reported that Crystal Castles would perform at SXSW, and now, as a reader points out, they’re slated to perform at two festivals in South Africa this month as well: SoundsWild in Johannesburg (November 27), and Synergy Live in Cape Town (November 28). A representative for the band has confirmed the dates, Crystal Castles’ first with new singer Edith (whose last name has yet to be revealed). Thanks to Jeremy Crouch for the tip.

This summer, Crystal Castles dropped “Frail”, their first song with Edith. The same month, Alice Glass shared a solo track, “Stillbirth”.
