Curl Talk: Thoughts On Jennifer Hudson’s Big Chop?

Have you seen Jennifer Hudson lately? If you haven’t, cast your eyes on the vocal powerhouse because she’s got a new look.

Hudson is known for stepping on the red carpet with practically every hairstyle; from long, wavy extensions to short pixie cuts. This month, the singer/actress officially joined the natural hair movement with a big chop.

“Who needs hair, when u serving face!,” wrote the Oscar winner while visiting the Vogue’s German headquarters.

Turns out she actually did the cut herself, as she wanted to create a new persona that reflects her “always changing” style.

To style her new do, Hudson revealed she uses a small amount of Pro-Style Gel, Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Mousse and hair-wrapping paper.

The mother of one also cited icon Grace Jones as the inspiration behind her new look.
