Rapper AV explains what it was like growing up in Compton, calling it “raw and my reality.” He also speaks about getting shot while out in his yard speaking to friends, which he believes was gang related.
Speaking further on the incident, AV says that he felt like he had to live and be stronger after getting shot, which he says he didn’t feel at all. He claims the incident made him more aware of his surroundings and pushed him to go further with his dreams.
