Beasley of Smack/URL spoke about his league’s influence in the Battle Rap culture in this clip from his exclusive interview with VladTV Battle Rap journalist Michael Hughes. He began by speaking on the development of the URL and how the Internet took over the DVD era, then transitioned to Smack/URL’s influence on other leagues and how he believes that based off of statistics, Smack/URL and KOTD are the top two battle leagues with the greatest influence at this time.
He also gave a great amount of credit to QOTR and every other league for their contributions, but he did address other leagues imitating the blueprint that Smack/URL has laid out for them.
