FKA twigs has released a new track called “Figure 8” from her upcoming EP. The track was premiered today by Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio. In an interview with Lowe, twigs said that the song was partially inspired by the figure eight hand motion in voguing. Listen to the track and interview above, via Consequence of Sound.
The new EP doesn’t have a title or release date yet. In addition to “Figure 8”, it will feature the previously released “Glass & Patron”. The EP follows twigs’ 2014 album LP1.
