Not too many people talk about “The Simpsons” these days, and from what it seems, people aren’t too interested anymore. However, according to recent ratings, that couldn’t be further from the truth. The shows most recent season had a ratings jump of more than 10 percent from the previous season, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Because of this, Fox has renewed the show for an unbelievable 26th season. “The Simpsons” has been the longest running show for years, the longest running sitcom, and the longest running scripted American primetime series. To put it’s longevity in perspective, the show has racked up almost 600 episodes in its 25 seasons.
