This genius marketing strategy to help promote the upcoming release of the remake for the cult classic, “Carrie”, subjected some unsuspecting people to the terrors of telekinesis. The stage was set at the ‘Snice Coffee Shop located in the West Village of Manhattan. The prank began when an actor accidentally spilled coffee on a young woman inside of the shop, causing her to lash out with telekinetic abilities similar to the ones seen in the Carrie film.
The shop was filled with actors playing along with the prank, which only made it more realistic and believable for the clueless patrons witnessing the scary sight before them. Some fled, other stood on and watched in awe, and one woman held out her phone and recorded the incident as she backpedaled towards the exit. All of the reactions are very funny.
