As would be expected with a story as big as this, soon-to-be NFL rookie Michael Sam, has got a huge bundle of homophobic haters that have begun to come out of the shadows and catapulting loads of vulgar anti-gay shade his way. Ever since he announced that he is a proudly gay man, the media has been buzzing with loads of new stories coming forth regarding his courage to openly announce his homosexuality prior to even entering his professional career.
While Sam has received a vast amount of support from fans, his teammates, and sports outlets such as ESPN, NY Times, and the NFL, there are an equally great amount of anti-gay enthusiasts who have no desire to try to understand his lifestyle or accept who he is as a human being. Many of his haters (who were probably fans of his prior to his announcement) have come forward on Twitter bashing him and calling him all sorts of foul slanderous words against people of that sexual preference.
