J Wood$’ “Soul Food” is a project made to heal the soul, in a climate that’s trying to damage it, then profit to fix it. After listening to Soul Food, you can be immune to any attacks made against your peace. It’s for the soul, don’t let the mind get in the way. J Wood$ is an American hip hop artist from Ft. Lauderdale and is currently based in Atlanta. J Wood$ has released 3 EPs- Courtesy of Broward (2017), Silent War (2018), & Soul Food (2019). J Wood$ first started rapping in high school which included, rap battles with peers, morning announcements music videos, which transferred into college where he started performing shows. After graduating, J Wood$ released his first EP, and has been growing ever since. His goal is to have his music reach all those it can help in bringing positive change. His influences includes James Brown, Michael Jackson, & Jay- Z.
