Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck and Dave Grohl’s “Sonic Highways” Nominated For Emmys

Brett Morgen’s Montage of Heck and Dave Grohl’s “Sonic Highways” have both been nominated for Emmys, Stereogum reports.

Montage of Heck was nominated for Best Documentary, Outstanding Writing, Directing, Cinematography, Picture Editing, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing (a total of seven nominations). “Sonic Highways”, Dave Grohl’s HBO docuseries about the Foo Fighters and American music history, was nominated for Best Information Series Or Special, Outstanding Directing, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing (four nominations total).

The 67th Emmy Awards will air on September 20 at 8 PM. Andy Samberg will host.
