After celebrating a joyous moment in his life and marrying his longtime girlfriend, LeBron James is mourning the death of his childhood friend “Fonzo.” The Miami Heat superstar sent out a message about his slain friend on Instagram, who was shot to death around 8:30 am on Wednesday.
“I was just with u homie. RIP my homie Fonzo! Prayers sent up to u. You’re in a better place now. Rest your soul. #ViolenceIsntTheAnswer #ImHurt #SoSad.”
According to several reports, Alfonso Golden was shot while driving west of East Waterloo Road in a “hail of gunfire so loud it awoke neighbors from their sleep.” Check out LeBron’s messages in the above slide:
