”Girls Made My Life A Living Hell”
In her cover story for ELLE magazine, hip hop superstar Nicki Minaj reveals that she had to deal with a lot of bullying as a young girl. That may explain why she hasn’t backed down from confrontations with veteran stars like Mariah Carey and Lil Kim. “I went through a lot of bullying early on,” she shares. “Girls made my life a living hell,” she added. “We had come to America from a different country. My brother and I had accents. It was very tough. So I’ve always put up this wall— it was a self-defense mechanism growing up— because I was almost expecting people to attack me. And I still have it. It’s sad.” |
