NYFW Spring 2016 Day 4 Recap: Go With The Flow

NYFW S/S 2016 - Elie Tahari - Runway Photo: Jeff Grossman/WENNDay four of New York Fashion Week was all about Bohemian and flowing fashion that will have you floating through spring.

Tim Blanks described Thakoon’s latest collection as “breezy” while Prabal Gurung put out a collection inspired by his hometown of Nepal, and featured dressed draped similarly to the robes of the monks who took the stage. Then there was Edun, with a collection inspired by the Kuba people of Africa, featuring oversized ponchos, loose linen and lots of fringe.

Victoria Beckham once again proved her posh nickname, but instead of structural and tailored pieces, the Spice Girl gave us culottes, maxi skirts and and loose sheath dresses with revealing necklines. Elie Tahari also captured the bohemian essence of the day with her collection of “billowing chiffon dresses,” and all about the intersection of “natural and future.”

Other standout shows from the day including Public School, Opening Ceremony and Diane von Furstenberg.
