In what seems to be perfect timing, Alexander Wang is topping his recent loss with a major win. Before we could even get a solid moment to process the Wang x Balenciaga split, the famed designer has hit us with some amazing news!

According to WWD, the largest Alexander Wang flagship store is set to open today, in Mayfair, London. The location has three stories (totaling 6,460 square feet) and was actually converted from what was a former post office downstairs with an art gallery above it. The space is also linked by a grand central staircase and falls perfectly in line with Wang’s signature aesthetic – it has sleek, industrial fixtures and a color palette of black and grey.

“It’s not as graphic or black and white as our previous stores. There are a lot of tonal shades of gray. It’s a bit softer, with a lot more suede, and more sensual materials,” Wang told WWD.

The opening comes right after the announcement of Wang and popular fashion house Balenciaga equally deciding to part ways. And sources are saying that part of his departure is due to the designer wanting to focus on his own label – which, if you ask us, makes a ton of sense.

Wang has always been known for his ability to attract all spectrums of the fashion market, and we’re sure this news is the start of a great turnaround for his namesake brand.

So in honor of the new opening, we’ve gathered some of Wang’s best runway moments that we hope are on display at the London flagship location.

Check them out on the pages ahead.
