Following his current single, “The Heist” and his Ugandan Lunch Meat EP, Rim from DaVillins releases his new joint, “Caught Sleepin’ (Darker DeBarge)” produced by Jon Glass. Just a short little summary about Rim: He’s a lyricist from BK’s Brownsville section. He is one half of the group, DaVillins, who was mentored and signed by Duckdown’s Sean Price, under his Ruckdown imprint, which they now currently head since P’s passing. The visuals, shot by Suave Ski, shows Rim traveling through the streets of New York, spitting lyrics through jazzy beats and melodies that encapsulates the New York City boom-bap sound. “Caught Sleepin'” is out now on Ruckdown/Duck Down Records and is available on SoundCloud.
