She’s only been the Queen of Spain for just over a year, but Letizia has proven that she’s a sartorial pro.
The elegant royal and her husband, King Felipe VI, stopped in three U.S. cities on their tour: Washington, D.C., St. Augustine, Florida, and Miami. And throughout her trip, she’s stepped out in quite a few fashion-forward looks, including glittering cocktail dresses and gorgeous creations from Spanish designers.
For their first full day on the U.S. tour, Letizia was all business — with a little personal flair. The Queen wore a black-and-white floral dress from Spanish designer Felipe Varelo paired with a fitted white blazer for a visit to Mount Vernon, where she and Felipe laid a wreath at the grave of George Washington. She stuck with the outfit for an afternoon visit to the White House and meeting with Michelle Obama.
Later that night, Letizia upped the glam factor for a meeting with the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, selecting a shimmering black Nina Ricci dress.
After their whirlwind trip to D.C., the couple headed down south to Miami, where King Felipe was awarded Miami-Dade College Presidential Medal for his humanitarian work. For her husband’s big day, Letizia wore an elegant gray coat and jeweled dress, both by Felipe Varelo, a go-to designer for the stylish royal.

Soon after, Letizia ditched the coat to show off her sparkling silver dress, which gave off some serious flapper vibes.
For their last stop in St. Augustine, Florida, Letizia kept it casual and classic in a navy button-down and a turquoise floral skirt for a visit to the Spanish Constitution monument in St. Augustine — the only one of its kind left in the Western Hemisphere.
